Spiritual Companioning

The goal of spiritual companioning is to cultivate openness and responsiveness to spiritual issues in our lives. Individuals usually seek out a spiritual companion because they need to be heard by someone they trust as they give voice to their deepest spiritual concerns, questions, and yearnings.

Spiritual companioning is a time-honoured term for a conversation, ordinarily between two persons, in which one person consults another, more spiritually experienced person about the ways in which God may be touching her or his life, directly or indirectly. These are conversations about life in the light of faith.
